Griffin homes
Old glass, new glass, and everything in between.
Griffin's houses cover a lot of ground. There are older homes near downtown with original single-pane windows, mid-century ranches with big picture windows, and newer builds with double-pane low-E glass out toward the county line. Each needs a different film, and getting that choice right matters more than the brand on the box.
Older single-pane glass can take film, but not every film — some put too much heat stress on an annealed pane. Newer insulated glass has its own limits and its own window warranty to protect. We check the glass before we recommend anything, which is the part most tint quotes skip.
Most Griffin jobs start with one problem room: a west-facing living room, a sunroom that's unusable by mid-afternoon, or a bonus room over the garage that the HVAC never quite reaches.

Yes. Premier Glass Coatings is based in Griffin, and it's where the business has worked the longest. The consultation, the quote and the installation are all handled by John and Seth — we don't send work out to subcontractors.
Can you put film on the original windows in an older Griffin home?
Usually, yes — with the right film. Older single-pane glass is often annealed and can crack if a film makes it absorb too much heat, so we check the glass and choose a film that's rated for it. It's also a good way to protect antique furniture and old heart-pine floors from UV without replacing original windows.
